If the damage is confined to the bumper cover havet them work on it off the vehicle and do whatever it takes to keep them from messing up the rest of the car. All too often, the actual accident repair goes OK but then they "clean up the car" and you get marring all over it.
When I have bumper covers redone, I insist that they not touch (literally) anything else on the vehicle. Period, written into the work order. They do the (usually new) bumper cover and then install it, not doing anything at all that involves the rest of the car.
All it takes is one careless wash and you'll be spending hours/days trying to fix it.
They may/may not wetsand/polish the repainted areas. All depends on the shop. I'd expect that they *will*, another reason why you don't want them messing with the rest of the car. |
