Window streaks....

I'm having problem cleaning windows for my 2 month old car. It seems very easy to get fogged up and no matter how hard i clean the windows. there's always visible streaks when i wipe it with a damp cloth. I mean the windows are very clean since it's new. But when i wipe with damp cloth, there are so many streaks and made me uncomfortable. I was wondering if this is the reason why my windows are very easy to fogged up.

I tried many things that i found solution to it on this wonderful site. I first tried using vinegar and it didn't work. then i tried rubbing compound. it seems to work a little when i buff it real hard. I also tried using meguiar polish, still didn't do a thing to the streaks but my window are really smooth now.... now, can anyone give me any suggestions on how to get rid of streak that may caused by hard water spot and etched my glass.. thank you!

Well first off to get rid of your streak you may want to try some Bon Ami cleaning powder or cake http://www.bonami.com/Products.asp?D...eaning+Powder, it will also help with your fogging. Also, do you have the HVAC controls set on "recycle" instead of fresh air? That will do it too. Keeping the windows a crack will also help defog the windows as well as using the AC. Zaino and One Grand also make a glass polish which if the Bon Ami fails would also be worth a shot. The Bon Ami is cheap and should be at your local hardware store.

Griot's Glass Polish is an amazing product for water spots and calcified water stains on glass...

But as far as streak free results when cleaning, I use Eagle 20/20 window cleaner with short-pile microfiber cloths. Absolutely no streaks whatsoever...

thanks for the advice guys, I turned out using a hardsurface protectant and ran it and buff it to all of my windows. My windows are now streak free!! Took me like 2 hours to figure out that i have an old bottle of glass protectant sitting in my garage that works wonders.

I'm going to work on my brothers car to get his plastic headlight scratches off.. does anyone has any ideas?

cleaning is fun!!
