1Z Gummifledge on wiper blades?
Would application of Gummifledge prolong the life of wiper blades? It says it keeps rubber soft, so the blades would resist cracking then right?

I tried Gummifledge on some exterior rubber trim and it ran pretty badly...had to break out the Goo Gone to remove the residue. Gummifledge is intended for interior seals, etc. 303 makes a wiper blade treatment that is what you are looking for. I know that Autogeek carries it and they are an Autopia sponsor. I can't remember if Autopia carries it or not. It is a pretty neat product and so far (I used it a month ago) I'm very happy with it.
Here is a link to the product page on 303's web site: http://www.303products.com/main.php?...wipertreatment

I'd keep those types of products away from your wipers. When you want to use your wipers, you'll get a bunch of streaks all over your windshield impairing your view of the road. The 303 wiper treatments should be fine, since they're made for them, though I've never tried them.
If you're replacing your wiper blades 1-2 times a year (like you're supposed to, though I don't know anybody that does), you shouldn't need to use a product on them.2003 Toyota 4Runner SR5

I just thought it would be cheaper and more convenient to just apply a protectant to the blades rather than buy new ones. Maybe I'll look into the 303 treatment.

The 303 treatment should extend the life of your wiper blades. There are a lot of variables involved with durability. I can say that the performance of the wiper blades has improved since using the 303 treatment.

How often do you apply it to the blades?

I have a friend that does it every 4 months. I'm not sure if there is a "recommended" interval since every situation & blade is different. My car only has 3100 miles, but the blades were already starting to drag.
As I use the wipes longer, I'll let you know how they do. Hopefully some other folks that have more experience with it will chime in.

the 303 wiper trmt product works well on blades. Haven't tried the Gummipfledge on wipers.
