Question What's a PC suppose to sound like?

I just got my PC 7424 in the mail today and was wondering if someone could try to describe what it's suppose to sound like. It's a bit louder than I thought and there's a slight metal rattle kind of sound while it's on. It isn't the smooth hum I was expecting so I just wanna make sure nothing is wrong, although it seems to run alright.

Could someone try to describe what it's supposed to sound like? I know this might be hard but try me.

My experience is that about 1 out of every 250-300 units is faulty. By this, I mean the machine operates, but vibrates excessively. The machine may make slight bearing until it has been used a hour or so, but it should not continue. If bearing noise starts after a number of uses, it needs to go in for service (lubrication).

I hope you are not running it free without having it pressed against something? Also maybe you need to change the counter weight. I did, made a big difference.

When I tested it I had it running against my washing machine but yeah it was just noisier than I thought it should be. I'll test it out on a hood or something this weekend and see what happens. Thanks for the replies everyone it helps.
