Question Need HELP w/ Possible detail: Black Mercedes 300E with BONUS PIC!

I'm a beginning detailer with limited experience and I need some HELP!

The other day I got a call from some a girl that I used to work with. She tells me that someone did some graffiti on her car which is a pre-1990's Black Mercedes 300E, and she says that she got most of the paint off. She didn't explain how she got it off, but she said that the paint she revealed underneath is kind of dull.

Well, she's coming over to my house so that I can take a look at it and to see if I could fix it. To be honest, I don't think I will be able to.

I'm guessing the paint is probrably single stage black paint given the age of the car. I have zero experience working with that kind of paint or any really deep scratch removal. I don't really feel like getting my PC pads or my mf towels all black.

Now I've never been very fond her. It doesn't suprise me that she called just because she needed to use me.

Should I even try to help her or is this just going to be too much work for something done pro bono?

P.S. I know this is a dreary post so I'll post something nice for a change. This is a picture of my M3 after I did a complete detail. That's 5 layers of Klasse on there. Can anyone guess the color of my car?

It's white.

Do a spot, test it out, and see what happens. About your pads turning color, big deal, its going to happen on any car(yes, even clear coat, which you just cant see).

You can't work miracles, but you might make a big improvement, so give it a whirl.

Aren't single stage paints harder to work with and need more heat to remove scratches?

I forgot to mention that she once asked me to goto her house and spend the night when her parents were out of town. I said no to her because I don't find her that attractive. So, that's why I kind of want to avoid her.
