using bondo

I have some rust holes on my car. i sanded the rust off to the bare metal with 80 grit sandpaper, then i filled it in with bondo and sand it down with 80 grit, then i smoothed it out better with 180 grit. Now around the outside of my half-dollar sized rust hole i filled in, i have scratches into the paint from the 80 grit sandpaper. How do i get those out. I have some sandable primer, will that fill them in?

Im a newbie to this, i would post pics, but dont have digital camera.

primer can fill it in, but after that, you'll need to sand that down to smooth it out.
