Anyone want to come to Alabama and help detail my car for me???

I'm fairly new here and just recently made the jump and bought about $150.00 worth of Pinnacle polishes and sovrgn(sp) wax. I have a great deal of acid rain spots on my two month old car that the dealer is going to wet sand out. My girlfriend also took my car to an automatic car wash last week that must have specialized in swirl marks . Anyway, I've never been really super confident or happy with the wax jobs I've done before so if anyone live in Alabama and would like to make some $$$ let me know . If not, can someone go through a wash/polish/wax explanation for dummies with my Pinnacle products in mind?

Wow, I lived in St. Louis until I was 12. I'm trying to think how far away Joplin is from StL. Is it by chance south of StL along I-55? I"ll actually be up that way around early November so I may take you up on the offer .

To your Joplin question...

Joplin is southwest of St. Louis. You just go west on I-44 for about 295 miles. If you go 10 miles past Joplin, you are in Oklahoma. We are 7 miles from Kansas, and about 40 from Arkansas. Kind of a four-corners thing. Remember that old song "Get your kicks on Rte. 66"??? One line goes "Jopin, Missouri. Oklahoma City. Amarillo, Texax looks mighty pretty." I may be wrong - the song was about 290 years before my time.

I was up in Chicago last year for a couple of weeks with a guy from Austria. He was business associate. Anyway, he wanted to come to Joplin sometime but his company never sent him there - we just would have to do our stuff by email and phone and meet up at the trade show and hope it all worked right. We went out one night and it seemed that every single bar, blues club, or restruant played a version of that song. Every time the "Joplin, Missour" part came up, he would start singing the song in an Austrian accent. Imagine Arnold Schwartzeneger singing. You get the idea. I just died laughing each time he did it.

I'm in your neck of the woods every day

Live in NW Indiana, but work on the 64th floor of the Amoco building. Wave and I can probably see you.

Where in NW IN? I technically live 15-20 min from the IL/IN Border. I am usually in NW IN getting gas or shopping.

Well Prinz,

I was supposed to be there Sept. 12. But some terrorists had another idea for my travel plans. I get to Chicago about once every year or so. I am hanging on to my rescheduled Bears tickets now (sold the Cubs tickets for 75% of what I paid.) They are actually winning. If they continue, I'll be up there Jan. 6 for game 16! Otherwise, who knows. I'm a Bears fan but I'm not crazy! Chicago is freakin' cold in January.

a) Speaking of the Bears, why did they cut Milburn?
b) Living here for 34 years, I know it can get downright frigid up here. The coldest I recall it getting here was during the winter of '83 when it got to -83 with wind chill. But you get used to it.

Why the Bears cut Milburn...

It had to be that United Way commercial he made. You know the one - he was dancing with the retirees at the old-folks home.

Seriously though, I really don't know why. Oh well.
