Best combo?

I have an '00 red mustang GT with 23K on it and it has minor swirls and other paint defects. Im new to this stuff, so im not quite sure what would be the best combo for me. I want to minimize these swirls and i want a deeper shine to it. What do you think would be a good combo for me?

Got Pics?
How much time and money do you want to put into it?
It is hard to give a combo when the paint can't be viewed...so many products for different situations/conditions of paint.
Are you going to use a machine or by hand?
Give us a little more info and we can give you a better answer than just listing our favorite products.

Machine or hand?

Your paint looks pretty good. Maybe just VM(clearkotes vanilla moose) for a first step polish. I cant really see any marring from those pics. It looks pretty wet allready. I would follow VM with #16 from meguiars or I have seen Wolfgang sealent on red and it really deepens the paint.

If you need a more aggressive polish then I would go with Megs. #80. That should work really well.

So to sum it up, if you need a slightly aggressive polishing step, the steps would go like this:

#80
VM
#16 or Wolfgang sealant.

If just a mild polish is needed then skip the #80.

Here is a post that shows what VM can do with a PC.
For those of you who don't believe Vanilla Moose fills swirls...

Hope this helps.

That 360 Spider looks good too.

I'd recommend if using a PC:

Mequiars DACP #83
Einszett Paint Polish
WG Pre Wax Enhancer
WG Sealant
Top off with Pinnacle Souveran

If it's his I don't think he would care what his Mustang looked like.

nycpassat- you realize souveran is about $70 right? He wanted to keep it reasonable. You can get very similar results with megs #16 for a fifth of the price. It has really a really deep color to it.

Noting is exactly the same as souveran, but some are very close. Most people will not be able to tell the difference between S100, #16 and souveran.

I also think VM is easier to work with and has a slight edge over 1ZPP.

Not intended to flame, just want to help a newbie.

As usual, my $.02
