Good source for PC foam pads?

My old 6" velcro-backed pads are getting tired. Griot's wants $12 a pad???? There must be a better source.

My PC came with some pads that I like "Lake Country Mfg" - they are concave with little "steps" in the foam, which really reduces spatter. I'd buy them again if I knew where to get them. But mainly I just want new pads at a reasonable price!

Thanks in advance

Try CMA. The website is www.properautocare.com They have a pretty wide selection of pads for the PC. Look under the "Buffers-Polishers" section. I think they have foam pads for $8.95.

The 3M black waffle pads, "Perfect It Foam DA Glazing Pads", are part # 05729, and are 2 per pack at, I think, $16 or so.

It's my favorite pad to use on the PC 7424.

Brad4rd - we have 4 new items for 2002 that we're introducing in Vegas at the SEMA show in a couple of weeks:

Billet Metal Polish
Tire and Rubber Cleaner (something to clean tires BEFORE putting those gels or dressings on)
Bug, Bird and Tar Wipes - handy, easy to use wipes
Paint Chip Repair (licensed the technology from Langka)

Nothing earth shaking, but the billet stuff is the neatest stuff I've ever seen on a billet wheel or accessory.

bifboyhf - waffle pads are handy because they allow air to circulate under hte pad, keeping temperatures down. You can work products longer without the heat causing it to harden, possibly causing marring of the finish.

They are a very mild pad, and (in my opinion) are close to stupid proof since it's very difficult to damage paint with them.
