Please help with 2nd detail on well kept black BMW

Hi all

I took delivery one year ago on new Carbon Black 5 series. As instructed, the dealer did not detail prior to delivery. I initially washed, clayed, AIOx2,SGx3, and PS1 x2. The car is garage kept and driven almost daily with 5000 miles now.

The only obvious flaws are some swirl marks on 1/2 of the hood (done either in Germany or in S.C when it initially arrived). Otherwise the car looks fantastic (thanks to all of you of course).

My question is other than a wash, clay, and repeat Klasse twins and PS1, should I use my never used PC to tackle the swirl marks with SMR and also use it to apply the Klasse Twins, or should I keep this car in its current excellent condition and apply all by hand to avoid causing my own problems. The swirl marks do bug me in certain light but I am afraid I could make matters worse with the PC.

I could practice on my wife's car to get the feel of the PC. But again my concern is that the car is a 9.5/10 now and would like to keep it at leat as good!

Any input would be appreciated

Its hard to do damage with a PC, but that doesn't mean that someone has never caused damage.

If you really have to look hard to see the swirls try a low abrasive clear coat safe swirl remover by hand.

practicing on your wifes car is not a bad idea though.

If you use the PC with the class twins I seriously doubt you will cause any damage unless you do something totally of the wall with it. Hope this helps.

Try something very light to start .. like Menzerna Final Polish on a white pad for the swirls .. This way you may have to work longer but you will lessen the chance of hazing that you will have to work out.
