Water Bandit Experience & Glass Cleaning Tip

I just tried the Wizards Water Bandit this morning for the first time - $13 at detail-zone.com. Pretty close to unbelievable performance! It appears rugged enough to withstand twisting (rather than just squeezing) to wring out water too.

I was slow to warm up to Stoner's Invisible Glass. It does better than the blue stuff on inside glass surfaces but you can't (according to the label) use it on plastic so to do most all mirrors and instrument lens, you need to use the blue stuff anyway. Ugh!

On my last two washes I decided not to worry about water spotting on glass and instead just wiped down the painted surfaces (might have prevented contaminating the glass surfaces too). I then used the Stoner's and newsprint and found that the glass was absolutely spotless with zero effort and in a flash!

BTW, part of my regular wash routine involves wiping down the wiper blade surfaces with a paper towel saturated with the cheap windshield washer solution that sells almost everywhere for a buck or so a gallon

We like to get our Water Bandit's from Dale; he's a long time visitor of the Autopia forums, and is the A-1 Wizards dealer (www.kleanride.com).

I like Stoners Invisible Glass, too, but Neoprufrok told me that he prefers 3M's foaming glass cleaner; I haven't tried it yet.

303 makes little cloth wipes that you use on windshield wiper blades; I heard they give you some with their $5 sample pack?

hey beau, i picked up a bottle of 3m's foamng glass cleaner and compared it to stoners. it may just be me but i think they both perform about the same. the 3m does foam a little more but as far as cleaning i didn't see a big difference in either one. just my .02.

Thumbs up

Sprayway's glass cleaner is also very good in my opinion. One Grand actually sells the stuff in their catalog. Second the use of b/w newspaper too!!

I noted that and also the washer fluid booster on their website but I haven't found either at any of the stores I frequent.
