How Good Can You Get A White Vehicle Detailed

I have a White Explorer. How good does white come out? If you have any pics I would love to see them. Would really like to see a really nice white vehicle detailed.

from my gallery, a CRV I did over the summer

White doesn't show depth very well, same for light yellow.

John,

White, while not as deep and glossy as dark colors, is a great color to detail. You wind up with a really nice clean look. The best part is -- white paint hides a whole bunch of things that won't raise your blood pressure like black paint does! Here's an after shot of a recent detail of mine....

The white paint is very forgiving(hides swirls) I think if you prepare the paint right you will get a awsome finish
The white color also shows all the dirt very well , for this reason you have to be a true Autopian
There are great products out there that can help you maintain a good shine

Thanks alot guys. I know white hides swirls, at least I could not find any on my Explorer, at least to my eyes. Those cars look awesome.

explorer,

I have a 2000 XLT, V6. I'm trying to find a good combo to apply in a couple of months, or whenever it gets a little bit warmer.

Layton, Utah? Dude, we are practicaly neighbors. I'm just up the freeway from you in Woods Cross. Glad to see another local on the board.

I love working on white. Its usually such a bland color, but when you can get it to pop then it really pops. If you ever want some help working on white then just let me know. I've got just about anything you want to try stacked up in my garage if you are curious about anything.

Jngrbrdman,

I've heard your name mention a few times, LOL. Yes, I'm in Layton. What are you using on white? Maybe we can get together some weekend. So I can see that car up close, and you can let me know what I should do to get my Explorer looking really good.

Uh.... She's not looking very 'Autopian' at the moment. lol I haven't had time to clean it up properly for a week or two. I just had the back bumper repainted after someone backed into it so I'm hoping to get it washed this weekend. I need to find out what's going on Saturday though. I do some work for SpeedTech out in Clearfield sometimes and there are a few cars left to be done. Maybe we could meet out there if I get that lined up. If not, then we can get together at my place without a problem. Always a pleasure to meet another Autopian. I should be home every weekend for quite awhile so just let me know.
