Best winter "coat" and application in the cold?

Hello all, Im a newbie here. Im looking for adviceon a product that will last the entire winter (if possible) for my wifes car and my winter car. Michigan winters can be rough! I'm looking for a product thatwill last all winter, and not cost a fortune or take days to apply. Also something that can fill minor swirls as it protects would be great. The cars are a teal 02 Gran Prix (wifes) and a red, 91 Civic Si (my winter car).

On another note, I just bought a new, red SVT Lightning pickup which unfortunately will also be sitting outside this winter. Although it wont be driven in the snow, or nastyness. My real "toys" (93 Lightning and 91 Mustang GT) take up my 2.5 car garage. What would be a good gloss / protector product to use on it for the winter? Something that will last the winter sitting out, but be able to be removed in spring. Im thinking of either Zaino, Klasse or "Moose" in the spring for this truck.

TIA

Chuck P

Try COllinate insulator wax for your daily driver.

Many favorites among here for durability are Collinite, Klasse, and Zaino. Do some searches for these as well as terms like Swirls for answers to those questions.

I have done searchs on here and other forums and am confused. There is just so much these days! I used to detail professionally, but its been about 7 years and theere are alot of new products on the market. I think Ill either try collonite, or Klasse.

With Klasse, do you have to use the SG for best protection? How many coats of either are required for 6 months of protection?

After some more "research", seems I might give the collinite a try. But after reading their site, Im still confused? Seems everyone uses the insulator wax on here. But the Marque d' elegance wax says its the longest lasting, but the super Double Coat says it will last 1 full year and is detergant proof (how would you strip it off the car if you wanted to then?). NAd the Saphire paste wax says it cleans, glazes and protects in one step. So which is best when looking for a compromise of good gloss and protection?

Also is the paste alot harder to work with? The last paste I used was Meguires yellow. It was pretty easy to work with, but had alot of dust and white residue.

lightning, im using the klasse twins for the winter, and they are imo the best protection so far this year. Last year i had bf2 on there, and it held up even with the harsh salt. Collinite is decent, but i find it to be a bear to wipe off if kept on long, but it lasts a good while for a carnauba wax. Imo, use a polymer, as winters up here suck bc of all the salt.

Thanks. I might be showing my ignorance, but what is bf2? So you think the Klasse system will last longer then the collinite?

yeah, being that the klasse system involves acrylics, which are durable as heck and look fantastic on most(if not all) finishes. My advice is to apply aio twice before wiping on the sg coat, and maybe add another sg coat after a day or two of letting the first sg coat cure.

Oh, and bf2, thats blackfire all finish paint protection.
