Klasse Durability?

I applied Klasse AIO for the first time this weekend . I found that a second coat right away gave a great shine, more so than just one. Klasse applies the best with the sponge or foam applicator and not the cloth type. It rained the next day and the beading action was amazing. I applied it to the windshield which beaded well. After it stopped raining I sprayed some washer fluid to clean the window. It then started raining again and the beading seem to go away on the windshield. Klasse does not seem to hold up well against alchohol based products then. Don't most QD's have achohol in them? Will this remove the acrylic sealant if you use a QD? Maybe my wiper blades are real good and just wiped off the AIO which may not bond to glass well.
On the bottle it says Klasse won an award in 1973. Why hasn't Klasse become more popular over the years. It is an amazing product. The bottle though looks like it is still packaged in someones basement. I think it needs some updating.

Some windshield cleaning chemicals are real nasty and will remove anything. They can also leave water marks and etch spots in the paint.

Well, I'm doing a Klasse AIO test this winter. I put down one coat of it on a 99 MB ML320 by hand. I did this last week and will wait till next spring to re-wash and evaluate the paint.

Well got a coulpe of months before I actually write something formal about it.

Sorry for the wait,
Jason

Most quickdetailers....

only have a few % of alcohal in them...not concentrated enough to strip the wax. What kind of window washer liquid did you use? It seems to have stripped KLASSE off your windows. Some of them are harsh cleaners, just wondering what you used.

What kind of award was won in 1973? I wonder if this is the same formulation from way back then.......

When did people here start using KLASSE? Who has used it the longest, and has it always seemed the same?

DK,

It won a Honorary Gold Metal from the European Association of Inventors in 1973.

Dont know if it has been changed over the years or not.

I used just the plain blue cheap junk. None of the expensive bug cleaner, anti-freezing, or rain-x protectant type. I also didn't spray a lot.

From what I understand about Klasse, you'll have more of a sheeting reaction when the surface becomes wet. I guess the same holds true for the windshield.

clean your windows using literally 1 drop of AIO and a slightly more damp mf applicator (it'll do all the windows). wipe dry with an MT (this is for upkeep on clean windows)

As for QD with alcohol. On the back of many QD bottles it said that if it doesn't absorb redily then it's time to rewax (I've always wondered about this statement) I would imagine it deals with the small percentage of alcohol's ability to remove the wax.

On the other hand, the QD I use has carnuba in it, coupled with the smoothness of Pinnacle B.S. it, IMO, made my car look and bead better then 1 week after I last detailed my car in April.

As much as I love Klasse, you would think that this company would come out with some newer info on the bottles. 1973? Man, that's old! I love the containers though.
