Angry Chipping paint - body shop pros wanted.

I have done numerous searches on the net to try to find a bodyshop like resource to help me fix my chipping paint and i have only come up with certain "systems". I just want techniques!

My exhaust tip is hitting the underside of my bumper and thus has made some paint chip and it looks pretty bad, it made maybe a half dollar sized chip in the paint after i peeled some more. I want to buy an airbrush to repair this myself but i need to know some things.

The prep, what i need to do, how i need to clean it, how a pro would do it, if i need to sand the area, use a primer etc. What clear coat to use. I think after that i can get it from there, compounds etc but any suggestions would be great.

I guess the guys who painted my car recently (repaint on a 2002 t/a - different color) didn't care to mucha bout the underside and when i peeled the paint away the old color was there, as if the original surface wasn't sanded or primed or anything, which pisses me off. And i know i know bring it back bring it back, trust me they'll have it there for 3 weeks and i've had it at the shop loooong enough so i'm ready to try this on my OWN!

Any bodyshop resources would be great, a book suggestions, or advice ! Thanks
