    Iwas just currious about this. I plan on doing a detial soon (my first autopia one)...

    *Dawn wash
    * Clay
    * #9
    * #7
    * Gold Class Wax, or #26.

    Should I just go with #26? I have a new thing of GC i got for chirstmass...and dont wanan toss it. I already have commisned my 3 sted deep crystal to my wheels and stuff....and dont wnana have to toss GC too. I was planning on buying #26 after it was gone anyways...but dont wanan take all this hard work, and then #7 to go, caus I used the GC wax

    Gold Class has some light cleaners in it, #26 does not.

    If it were me, I'd use the #26 over #7.

    Well today i was doing my car up and did a little test. After i dawn washed, clayed, deep crystal paint cleaner and polish, i did a side by side comparison of Deep crystal carnuba wax, #26, and GC. I let them sit for 30 mins and wiped off. Surprisingly i found that the Deep Crystal Carnuaba wax depthend the color and looked wetter than the other two???
    71 Chevelle as my first car...? Yeah its nice...Doesnt get the babes like you would think.... But who needs a girl when you have autopia...?

    lawrencea - yes it will. Like GC, it has light cleaners in it.

    Now if I can only convince the chemists that folks would buy Reflections without cleaners, I'd be set. He's made me a couple batches without, which I liked.

    GC has cleaners and will nullify the hard work you put in with the #7. #26 does not and works VERY well with it. Apply with a Porter Cable dual action polisher or by hand, whichever you prefer.

    That step 3 carnuba liquid ain't so bad. It's more than meets the eye, IMO. One good thing is, it's so thin in the bottle that it's easy to do a super light coat.

    I'd still do the #26, though. That stuff is sweet (no offense, forrest, Mom's natural formula carnuba is sweet, too).

    The best way to maintain that "just waxed" look is to have just waxed your car.

    If you have swirls to get rid of the 26 won't make much of a difference by itself. Get some #9 and #7 on there and your swirl problems will be virtually eliminated.

    Yes, you can do another layer of the #26 (my car has three on it in this month alone, so I'm done for awhile). Just make sure you give it time to cure inbetween coats, about an hour or so.

    When you go to wash it, buy some Meguiars 00 with a new sheepskin wash mitt. The 00 is awesome as it simply removes dirt and grime without stripping wax like car washes that contain detergents do. It really is a great product, as is the entire Meguiars professional line. I've found the "normal" line to not always be good.

    lawrencea - I've not tried autoglym, so I can't honestly say.

    Gold Class has carnauba in it - Reflections does not. Reflections makes its shine through the resins, not carnauba or oils.
