Questions about a repaint...

So I had to have my car repainted about a year ago, due to an accident... A reputable shop did it, and it was covered by the insurance, so I went with it..

After a year, the paint has not held up well at all..

The front bumper looks like a teenagers face, it's so pocked and chipped up..

The rest of the paint seems to swirl very easy, like the paint's really soft, and bird and water bombs etch the paint very easily..

Is this true of all repaints? Is there no way I can have the finish back to what it was origionally???

The shop offered to repaint the front bumper for $100, which is fair, considering it's out of the year warranty, but I dunno if a repaint every year is the right fix to the problem...

I don't even wanna wash or wax my car anymore, as It won't look good no matter what, and the car's black, so any wax residue in the chips makes them 10000x worse...

Any ideas???
