I know, thats why I said who I was

As for the clearcoat failure, thats pretty uncommon on the Lexuses, at least from what I've seen. I'm sure people on here can tell you different if they've detailed a lot of older ones. My guess would be perhaps the bumpers were repainted at some point.

A good body shop probably wouldn't charge you much to just respray those top bumper panels. They wouldnt have to respray the whole bumper, because the lower trim is a different color seperated by the chrome strip around the trimline. It would depend on whether or not they had to remove the bumper cover...

Where can I find the propper way to polish...in the e-book?

Also, should I use a foam terry, or a cloth terry to appply something like Megs. #7 (the polish). Im going to be doing everything by hand, caus the buffer I had isnt that good (cheap one from WalMart)

Hey Shyne, not bad for 12 year old paint. Perhaps another layer of S100 will do the trick.....Andrew

godofthunder, i used a foam applicator for #7 show car glaze. it really isnt a polish at all so a foam pad or terry dosent really matter i think.

andriver, yeah probably next week i'll give my car a wash again and then add another laywer of s100 and see how that goes.

you think i can put on some #26 wax and then top off a layer of s100? i like #26 slickness and look and adding s100 i think would make it reald deep

Try #7 by machine next time, I think then you'll get what your looking for. I would also use AIO instead of the premium paint cleaner. Sometimes, cars look better after a wash and QD.

so i just washed my car today and got some nice results. i saw alot of beading so that was good. i did my normal wash and then waxed with s100.

i still think that s100 lacks slickness and i can achive better slickness from #26. the s100 experinece is good for me so far i though i mightve been more moved by it.
