Got my hands on black Lexus GS430

Hi,

Just finished detailing.
Raw material: Black Lex GS430 '01

This car was never detailed or even waxed. Swirlmarks was so bad, car looks gray instead of black.
Dawn washed, 3M FCRC with PC. Almost without visible improvements. I guess this scrathces is deeper than I thought. So I decided to leave abrasives alone. Next step was Klasse AIO couple times. Still not good enough. Usually AIO does swirl/scratch masking job pretty well, but not with that scratches. Next step Klasse SG. Two coats with 2 hours cure time. Almost the same picture. Scratches is still here, but surface became much more black and reflective. Next step - Liquid Souveran and 3 coats of Souveran (just Souveran). Results is not amazing, but pretty good. Scraches is still clearly visible in the spotlight but on the sunlight it will be much better.

I will take more shots tomorrow.

Nice camera. I just got my G2 last month and I love it. One question though, why were you using ISO400?

Scott, try this link. (smaller pics)

The Aperture is really small and there's not enough lights so he needs higher ISO, I bet he could've used ISO 50 though only the time shutter time will be longer.
