Black BMW 328i I detailed today - must get something more abrasive

Today I detailed this 96 black BMW in very bad shape. Swirls and scratches all over, brown wheels, well, hard work.

It took me 6 hours, mostly because, even though I used a rotary w/ a compound foam pad and Menzerna's Fast Cut, I had to do more than one passes on each panel to remove most of scratches, and yet some remained there, though couldn't feel them with my nail. Maybe I'll get some 3M or Megs heavy cut copoumd.

I then followed with the DA, cutting foam and DACP, and lastly the polishing pad and 3M PI-III Machine Polish.

Here's how it was:

Here's the result:

That is one great improvement! You have to realize that not every scratch can be removed. Sometimes you have to let some go. Your customer must have been very pleased.

Maybe you shouls try a leveler compound. The product keeps working for as long as you can spin the wheel.
