Angry Just detailed, have to drive in the rain, then go to a show!

A little predicament here, fellas!

I just finished detailing the car. From claying to wax and everything in between, I've got the car looking sweeter than it ever has. I'm happy about that! The thing is, Saturday I have to bring the car to a shop to get aligned before I am able to bring it out of state for a show on Sunday. It is going to rain ALL day Saturday and there's no way I can get around not getting that alignment done. I know I'm cutting it close but I'll leave the kudos to a lousy shop that couldn't do it right the first time early in the week

So, after I bring my baby out in the rain for the first time in its life, what will I have to do to get it looking good again?

My cleaning: dawn wash, ClayMagic, gel wash, scratch/swirl remover, Meg's #7 and Meg's #26 paste.

So, to get it looking good again before Sunday morning, I will have to___________________.

Thanks!!

just a good washing and paying really close attention to detail should bring it back up to snuff..

So just a gel wash is good? It won't take away any of my hard-earned shine?

Just give it a good wash and follow up with a good QD....You shouldn't have any probs at all.

Hose it down with water as often as possible during the day and wash it ASAP when you arrive home. This will prevent the dirt from sticking and drying on the car.

After washing us a good QD on the whole car (Engine too if your going to show it off)

Good luck at the show

Piece 'O Cake

I think you will be pleasantly surprized how easy it will be to clean up now that you have the good base on the finish. Rinse it off good and like Pat & MBZ said, a quick detailing spray......sweet.

...and you can bet the garage will take better care of your car if it comes in looking great.

Thanks guys. I've been steaming about this all day, I thought I was going to have to pull an allnighter and do it all up again. I've never driven this car in the rain so I don't know how it affects a nicely detailed car!

Well at least that's good. I'm all set in regards to the engine, I was mainly worried about the paint. Thank you guys!

Just DONT dawn wash it or itll strip off all ya hard work from before.

I use Megs #00 and it doesnt hurt the wax as far as i can tell.

Then I do the same as everyone else has said - QD, windows and wheels.

It'll look just as good as it did before!

An engine shot. There are a few tough to reach spots I didn't get to clean as much as I wanted, but I was strapped for time. This show kinda snuck up on me. Not so much as the snow not ending until mid-April, so I wasn't able to do much

Edit: Oh yes, I also took 1st in my class
