detail spray for black car?

I have tried most all of the popular products. I wax my black vette with zaino, everything is perfect. but this is texas and you almost always have to use a detail spray. All streak on a black car including zaino, meq, etc etc. What I use is one capful of zaino carwash in a quart spray bottle of distilled water and it is tough to detail but it does not streak. Does anybody have a better product that will not streak on a black car. Most all regular products work on most colors but black has stomped me for years.

Do you mean you use that mixture as a detailing spray?

I agree that Meguiar's QD does streak unless you are a magician.

I have always used Z6 on my black Grand Prix and haven't had streaking problems. I don't use MF towels though. I use 100% cotton SUPER THICK towels. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Hey I have a black car and I know how tough it is, I use platinum products Gloss enhancer, works great no problems. You can get it at www.premiumautocare.com.

I haven't had any streaking problems with Clearkote's Quikshine. If you are in the Dallas area, the performance shop at Six Flags Mall sells it for less than the price on the website.

I agree with Scott, quick shine does not streak and works great.

When I was new to Zaino, I had the same problem with the Z6 streaking. Turns out, I was doing two things wrong: I was using too much product, and I was using too much pressure on the MF. Since I now use less spray and lighter pressure, the problem hasn't recurred. YMMV.

I use BEADX on the torch red vette and the wifey's black Cabrio. Do a search on the web for Formula 113 and you will find it. Some people here don;t care for the owners personality. I could care less, I like the product.

Welcome to Autopia patdad

Another possibility is that you're QDing when the paint is still too warm or QDing in the sun (sun + black paint = HOT!), which will cause most QDs to streak like crazy. Quickshine is reportedly more forgiving for this though.
