Mini Wonder Wash? (How do you wash your MF towels?)

I need something that can clean small loads of MF towels at a time (Maybe 10 at a time). I did a quick search for mini washer and found a site that has something that I saw on TV a long time ago. Anyone ever used it before? The main reason why I dont want to use a regular washer machine is because of all the water it uses for such a little load. Right now, im just putting the towels into a bucket and stiring it up, and air dry.

Seems to me I remember seeing one or two reviews of this product on the board a couple of years ago. Try a search and see what comes up.

Yeah, but

It looks like a cute device, but would the cost of the machine be less than the cost of the water you would save (cost of water used in the washing machine on "small load" minus the cost of the water used in this machine).

Plus it looks like more trouble and more time to use and I would doubt that it would do as good a job as a washing machine, meaning you would have to replace your MF towels sooner.

If you do buy it, I bet you don't use it more than 3 times. I'd use the machine just for the convenience. I cannot believe that the cost of the water is all that significant.

My washing machine has a "mini load" setting which is set less than the "small load" setting.

That thing looks pretty dumb and a waste of money. Kind of like old school Little House on the Prarie clothes washing. How much money are you truly saving; a few dollars a month?

IIRC, Yo Steve has one and says its great. Do a search for it.

I guess it depends on how many towels you need to wash. My washing machine has a "very small" setting but I'd still rather use that little device. Washing machines need electrical power which you pay for, that Wonder Washer is hand cranked. And the amount of water is much less than a machine and you only use the smallest amount of detergent.

For less than $50 I think it will pay for itself in no time. Plus you've got the portability factor and the convenience that goes along with that.
