Winshield Wiper Chatter...?

What can be done to correct or stop windshield wiper chatter? I was driving in the rain last night and my wipers were chattering away like mad!
Any suggestions from you all knowing Autopians?

Clay your windshield, that always helps.

Also, how old are your blades? They might need replaced.Taking my signature to it's MAXIMUM POTENTIAL

Had the same problem with my car. In my case, it was because I applied sealant to the windshield and 15 minutes after starting the wipers, you could see clumps of product that had been pushed around by the wipers and bunched together where the blades were skipping. Product was also bunching up where the wiper blades switched directions. I clayed, applied lighter fluid and applied Aquapel and haven't had any problems since then (been almost a year now).

I have Aquapel on my brand-new windsheild and I am experiencing more "almost chattering" behaviour than when I used Rain-Ecch because Aquapel isn't as slick. I think my problem is that I've worn away the moly coating on my wiper blades from excessively cleaning them and mistaking the coating for dirt.
I've heard of people using a vinyl dressing like 303 on the blades, but I haven't tried this and don't know if it would cause streaking or make a mess of things....
I should probably just replace the blades.

4DSC,
I use Stoner's Invisible Glass on my wiper blades. No problems there
I got that tip from their webpage.

I use #40 to clean off wiper blades. I've never noticed any streaking. Just don't use much and buff it off. Sometimes it will leave a little line where the blades rest, though.
I recently applied AIO and SG to the windshield on my wife's car just to see what it would do. It's been chattering ever since. I've recently tried clay and MPPC on it, so it was in fairly good shape. This weekend maybe I'll remove it and give Rain-X a try again. The times I've tried it on her car, she had crappy wipers. They seemed to streak more with the Rain-X, but maybe it was the wipers fault. I want to like Rain-X, so I'm gonna give it another chance.

I clean my blades with 20/20, and then apply a vinyl dressing. No chatter.

I had the same problem, and also used Aquapel. Solved only when I switched to PIAA silicone blades. Not cheap, but worth it.

My car is 1 month old and I applied Aquapel as soon as I got it and wipers now chatter like crazy. I hate that and I start thinking about puting Rain-X on top of Aquapel to stop it. I tried 303 and window cleaners on the wipers but nothing helps.
