If I had recently Scratch-X / #7 / #26 (x2)'ed my car, would AIO be sufficient for me to set up the base for the multiple layers of SG? Or should I Dawn wash as well?

What you should do is use the search and find lots of information on the use of Klasse AIO and SG. It's a very popular combination and has been discussed at length, many times. I think there is a very comprehensive thread on Klasse in the Articles Forum.

What I would do is use the AIO and skip the Dawn. In fact I can't think of any occasion where I would use Dawn on my car's paint. I know lots of people do, and more power to them.

lol, hey, I've been using the search for much of the past month or so I've been browsing the boards here. I didn't remember seeing anything that matched my exact question, so I asked it.

But thanks, Dawn on paint does sound a little bad to me, as well. Still trying to decide if I wanna get the twins + Souveran / P21S or what...

My comment was not meant to get on your case, but to tell you that there is lots of info available about the Klasse twins. IMO, AIO is probably the most versatile product I have ever used.

One thing I've found that helps is to be able to see the forest among the trees. For example, Scratch-X contains what that might be a problem? Fillers or oils. Does AIO remove fillers or oils? Yes it does. Therefore AIO will work as a base. It's not always this simple, but you get the idea.

I haven't used Dawn on my car either (except in one small spot).

Well, come to think of it, I've spot-Dawned once.

When I was first driving, I managed to scrape the edge of my wheel well along the white-painted wood at the edge of the garage. As soon as I saw it a minute or so down the road (I thought I heard a scraping sound, so I got out and checked), I flew back home. There was a white strip on there. Not good.

It was actually my mom that suggested Dawn. heh. All that remains are a few deep scratches, and that's it.

(Edit) Good thinking about the "forest among the trees", btw.
