CMA Shipping to Canada? ---> Update

I emailed CMA last night inquiring if they were shipping to Canada. Terry emailed me back today and said that they are not shipping to Canada.

Why did RX-8 start the thread that CMA was shipping here?

Here is the thread.

RX-8 can you verify if CMA has shipped any goods to you?

My understanding is that they ran a trial shipping to Canada with UPS. The hang up seems to be getting the UPS shipping system to accept product information so they don't have to complete the import/export documentation by hand... at least, that's my understanding.

All I know is that its expensive to get stuff up there. Not to mention the fact that it takes forever. I had my camera mailed back to me from Toronto 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Grrrrrr..... Tim at www.tacscar.com ships up there. They are about the only one that I know of. I'm not sure about all of em though. They have been helpful to my Canada buddies before though.

Thanks for the clarification David.

Jngrbrdman, thanks for the heads up about Tim. I've actually purchased from him last summer. He's a great guy. Though CMA has extra goodies that I may like to try one day.

Hmm, not that I need anything badly, but I was hoping they would start shipping here.

Thanks for bringing this up Bill.

I just get my ma to order it. she works in the US and offers better exchange rates then banks and no brokerage fees.
Unfortunately there are black-out periods where she is not in the US and she doesn't accepts orders from people who are not her son. Shipping can also take serveral weeks.
