Cleaning off the dirt from clay?

What should I do when i want to get the dirt off the clay?

Break up your clay bar into small pieces. Throw away the pieces as they become dirty or are dropped on the ground. Do not clean the clay start with a new piece of clay.

That is the best way to protect your wax. This way if you do drop your clay, then you don't have to throw the whole thing away.

jmsc is an unknown quantity at this point
When I do my 2nd clay'ing...

I will cut the bar in 1/2's or 1/3's. As they get dirty I will toss them.
The paint job on the cars I clay are worth more than any clay bar to me. MOO (my opinion only).
