Wow! I was just commenting the other day how the MKT would made a nice hearse. Gone are the days of the true old school large American luxo barges but the future may be even brighter.

I can't wait to see some after shots of that Town Car once all the repairs have been done.

I also purchased a Town Car several years ago - black, 2007 - had some of the same paint issues, but probably not a bad as your car, but close. I attempted to touch up some flaws, but that didn't work - finally had a professional re-paint - I think they call it - feathered in spots and that worked. Now, it's near perfect.

These are great cars - I simply like the look, period.

astralis- I bet there's *somebody* here who would know somebody good in the Houston area. Scottwax is in Texas, maybe he would know...

Besides the *huge* Livery Vehicle issue (and tha really is a huge market that's suddenly left out in the cold!), I'm curious about how the next crop of Law Enforcement vehicles are gonna work out. Everybody drools about the performance of the latest offerings, but IMO that's just a tiny part of a very big picture.

    C. Charles Hahn- I really (make that *REALLY*) wish I liked the "new look of Cadillac", what with all the (otherwise) cool cars they're selling these days...but I simply don't and won't buy anything I think is ugly. And speaking of "ugly"...well, the current Lincolns qualify IMO. Yeah, I know, I'm probably in the minority on both brands

Heh heh....gee, I'm calling "ugly!" on [darn] near everything these days huh?!? Turning into a grumpy old codger in my early fifties

I'm also in that minority. No new Caddies or Lincolns for me. Too ugly. I'll take a classic of either though.
