Is Griots Red pad equivalent to a CMA Gray finishing pad?

I bought a used PC through this board, and it came with a brand new griots red pad. Is this pad considered a finishing pad, similar to the CMA Gray finishing pad? I would like to pickup a couple of more pads for now....I'm a bit short on $$$. I was thinking one CMA white and one CMA yellow. I figure if the Griots Red is a finishing pad I can skip the gray CMA pad. The PC already came with the velcro backing plate, so I'm all set there. I am planning on using it on my 6 month old Mahogany MDX, which has some very light swirling....I'm thinking the white pad with #9 2.0 to start, then I can always move to the yellow pad if need be. Any comments would be appreciated.....Thanks!

P.S.- Does CMA take Paypal?

Send a message via AIM to Chris S
you got it... according to Griot's Site... "Start with the Orange Foam Pad if you're going to be removing swirl marks with our polishes. Use the softer and gentler Red Foam Pad for waxing with our Best of Show®. You'll notice that our new thin pads will give you more control and precision over all other pads."

Sounds like a finishing pad to me, equivalent to CMA's grey pad...
