I used my foam gun for the first time today. I used it twice but I think I have to use it more. It does a great job for the pre soak..

Re: To buy a Foamaster II foam gun or not to buy....
G37- For the longest time I felt the foamgun was just a toy, that I'd wasted my money and should just retire it. But I stuck with it and gave it a *LOT* of thought, and after literally dozens of experimental washes I came up with a regimen that's basically eliminated all my wash-induced marring. So IME it can take a while to figure out the optimal routine.

I have a foam cannon and it looks very cool, uses alot of soap and takes some time to set up, switch over and clean. i have used it 1x since I bought it.
If i were a Pro and getting extreemly dirty, polished cars, I say go for it. Other than that it is the worst 110.00 I spent on my addiction.

Which soap do people prefer to use in their foam gun? Does anyone use the DP for foam guns?

I have used my Glimour FM II about 5 times now..I use it as a pre soak...after cleaning the wheels I use the FG to spray soapy waer on the dirty car let it sit for a few minutes and then do a thorough rinse before starting to wash it with a mitt/2 bucket method. It apperas to remove dirt away but I guess the question is how effective is this method do you think Icould get the same results just doing a rinse?

I bought the foamlance/cannon thing even though my pressure washer had died, and it's just sat on the shelf as I never did replace the pressure washer! Talk about wasting money...
