Yes, the film is on the outside of the windshield. I finally had a free moment today to try and clean it with Tarminator. Looking at it, it looks flawless. However, under the right lighing conditions you can still see whatever it is on it. To the touch, it's smooth however when visible, it almost looks like overspray. It's really odd. I can't figure it out.
Jake, I think I was thinking the same thing as you. It's driving me nutts, so tomorrow I'll start calling around trying to get an estimate for a new windshield.
Just for giggles, I think that I'll try hitting it up with some M205/Orange pad combo via my
Flex 3401. I'll let you know how it turns out.
