HD Products

Does anyone have any experience with the HD line of products? Specifically their kits? I was looking at either the "complete car care Kit" or the "DA polish and wax kit"? I'm 19 and currently have no products but would really like to get started detailing my car as well as my friends/families. Check out HDcarcareDOTcom
Thanks

Re: HD Products

They are a brand new line, endorsed by the owner of autopia.org. There hasn't been much said about many of their products here yet, as they just started shipping a few weeks ago.

I think a lot of us are waiting for others to buy HD products and tell us about them before we start shelling out the cash. So we're all just sitting here waiting for someone else to spend the dollars... Let us know how they work??

Re: HD Products

As I'm in the process of opening a online store - I bought the entire HD line to test, in hopes of selling them in my shop.

So far, I'm impressed.

I have tried HD Metal - works as advertised - only note on this is to be careful when getting it out of the bottle, it is thin and i had to wipe some off and throw it away.

HD Free - does exactly what it says. Only concern here is that if the vehicle has much dirt on it at all, you will use the bottle up quickly. This is a great product for the person that only drives their car on the weekend and wants to wipe it down after the ride.

HD DuoPads - I really like these things!

Re: HD Products

2 detailers that I know personally that do very good work, endorsed the polish, saying it was very very good. I have a bottle but have not tested it yet.

Re: HD Products

I ordered the DA Polisher kit a couple weeks ago---along with a followup order for HD Poxy & Poxypad, HD Protect, HD Free and HD Total a week or so later. The plan is to use the products on my titanium silver 99 BMW 328i (if I can find some time).

Been gradually building up supplies and was attracted to the simplicity of the lineup and of course the "green" factor. Hope to find that balance between having a clean, protected daily driver and spending all my time worried about whether or not I should have done another IPA wipedown before applying the LSP. It's proving to be a very fine line.

I'll be sure to take some pictures.

Re: HD Products

I bought the PC/Uno kit when it was 40% off.

I've used it on a dark blue Scion xB with great results and a white Dodge truck with OK results. I liked their polish/pad combo enough that I purchased a few more pads to have on hand - I also ordered HD Total (APC) but haven't used it yet.
