Re: Megs 105 and PC HELP!!!

Anyone ever added a little OP II to the mix just to make this 105/205 last a little longer? I mean it appears this stuff flashes before most are used to or ready for, then its a PITA to remove?
Im a big advocate of, "If it isnt easy to use, why use it?"
Sounds like a great twin pack of polishes but...............(And I was going to order some until I read this)

I *really* doubt that you'd need to tweak the M205 that way, it's so oily that it can be worked quite a while, especially with proper pad priming.

As for the M105, a few people here are happy adding stuff like OCP to it, despite the (apparently groundless) concerns of guys like me.

Accumulator, I am not familiar with M205, what is the difference compared to 105?

Rob, M205 is a finishing polish. Very easy to use and works very well with a PC. Prime your black or white LC pad with M205.
Apply a few dots of M205 to pad.
Speed 6 and keep constant firm pressure on the pad. Do not let up at the end.
Wipes away very easy.

Got ya! I was thinking it was an improvement/variation on m105 which didn't make a lot of sense since that is still a new product.

Makes sense: follow 105 with 205, right?

And expanding on what gmblack3a posted, the M205 seems to have a *really* long working time, unlike the M105. Since it's not a matter of the M205 breaking down, it works out as merely meaning the stuff is user-friendly.

The only issue I have with M205 is the residual oils thing. Multiple IPA wipes often won't get 'em all, and even IPA followed by PrepWash, followed by more IPA doesn't *always* get 'em off/out 100% on some "sticky" paints.

Not an issue at all for some people (esp. those who don't do goofy-rigorous inspections) but it bugs me on some jobs. If ou don't see a problem, then it's usually safe to assume you don't have one, but don't trust the stuff in this regard if you use it on exterior plastics because issues *will* arise as the oils dissipate over a period of time.
