Lighting

As winter nears, we will all probably be spending as much time as possible inside our garages as opposed to out in the cold. That being said, the sun's natural light is great, but doesn't extend into the garage. Also, florecent lighting from the ceiling just isn't bright enough to see problems in paint and the interior of the car. How do you all deal with this issue?

Re: Lighting

HO T5 fluorecents .... I replaced 4 400w DE Halide fixtures with these . They are generally sold for reef tank lighting , but work equally well for our purpose . The quality of and quantity of light they provide is unreal . Really high CRI makes the paint appear as it would in full sunlight . The main key with these is the reflectors used . You can buy the parts online to DIY your own set up . I am using Giesemann Powerchrome Midday Sun lamps ( 6000k ) . A 2x24" T5 makes one of those big old 4x48" T12 fixtures seem like a night light .
