How to remove oil

Hi all,

After washing my car to my surprise I found that oil has been very well glued almost to the car paint.

How in the world can I remove this?
I tried using clay bar which helped a little.

Can I use Menz IP to remove it?

Any ideas will be helpful.

Cheers,
Blast

I would start with a very strong Dawn wash mix, If that fails, move on to solvents like alcohol or Lacquer thiner

Dont see why it wouldnt, the general consensus on this board from what I gather and have experienced is that plain old blue Dawn is best for auto applications. The idea is anytime you make something "ultra concetrated" you need to add allot of emolients and moisturizers to protect your skin.

or just wear gloves.

have you tried APC? i had some gunk on a previous car bumper right outside the wheel well and i let the APC soak for 5mins. rinsed off and sprayed APC again and most of it came off. i then proceeeded with a presoak foam gun and then 2BM and it came off without the need to clay.
