They are actually $2.97 for 2 16x24 towels. They are dish towels, so look in the kitchen dept. Mainstays is the brand.

Re: wasted money. rant
Excellent, Setec, thanks! I would have just gone away empty handed after checking their car washing aisle. Never would have thought to check the kitchen area.

No, the ones I'm referring to are *NOT* MF towels. They're more like paper towels that aren't made out of paper.

Setec..yup those are the those. I couldn't remember the brand name.
They are in the kitchen aisle with all of the dish towels. I love them. You can't beat them for the price.

What's funny is after you start trying to make a profit and stop buying so many products you realize just how commercialized Detailing can be. That being sad, you have to lose some money to realize that having 100 different products can be substituted for some simple equipment and few chemicals.
|
Also true for refinishing products (primers and clears). Just gotta spend the money
to find out you don't need to. But, sometimes, it is best to spend the little extra
for a particular task.

Jakerooni - What's your recommendation on the citrus-based cleaners/degreasers (or did I miss it?)?

Re: wasted money. rant
Mike it really dosen't matter as long as they are using real citrus in there somewhere. It's the citrus that is the key not the other ingredients. Which is ever cheaper. I know Zep has a decent one at home depot. I get mine from Auto Gem Distributing.

Re: wasted money. rant
Got inspired and picked up a gallon of Nature's Orange Cleaner/Degreaser
from OSH. Paid around $9 bucks. Haven't given it a good work out yet but
it smells like oranges!

Re: wasted money. rant
I personally look for ones with high dilution ratio's... (ie super concentrated) Getting something that can effectively be cut down to 10:1 is great for me. Usually around the $10 give or take and I get 10 gallons out of it. Highly cost effective.

Re: wasted money. rant
What's recommended as a cost effective pad cleaner? I used Pinnacle XMT pad cleaner when I started, then found out about using Dawn Power Dissolve. That's cheaper, but still not cheap.
