Blackfire or Platinum??? Dying to try something other than Souveran.

I was thinking about Blackfire but read that after a few washes it loses it's "slickness" I like that feeling and I get it with Souveran even though i have to reapply every month. How do the Platinum products hold up? Any thoughts or advice?

Thanks,
Joe

In my expierence with Platinum it also loses the smooth feeling and the shine diminishes after several washes just like BlackFire.

If that is the case which one were you more satisfied with?

Thanks!

I was not satisfied with either product to be honest, loses it's shine to quickly for my tastes. If I had to choose I would probably say Platinum just because it's cheaper.

Are we talking about a garage queen or a daily driver?

Well never drive it in winter and only really drive it 3-4 days a week, if that.

I got approx 5 months protection with BF topped by Souveran. Car was outside mostly but garaged at night. This was fall-winter months.

I think the two products compliment each other nicely.

BF and Platinum only lose their slickness after washing if you use BF or Platinum Wash.

They're highly acidic(for what reason I don't know), moreso than Dawn!!!:scared

BF is just fine, and looks awesome when topped with Souveran, then just wash with Pinnacle BS or MG Gold Class and you'll be fine!

Cool BF not bad

I've had pretty good luck with BF. The shine's held up very well after 5 or so washes (with Z7 though) and the surface is smooth, but definitely not slick. This is on a beater that's outside 24/7 and also close to the ocean. I did apply about 5 coats of the BF paint protectant however. This is also with no topper. YMMV
