wash&wax product on top of LSP

Hi All,

I have a jug of some Simoniz wash&wax soap that I bought some time ago while I was very newb. The kind that has a few carnauba beads inside the soap.

Its decent soap but after Autopia, I know better now

I did not want to waste it and I'm running low on my regular wash.

What I wanted to know if if I have a good LSP like Collinite on my car and use
the wash&wax soap on top of it, would there be any side-effects?

My theory is that it'll wash and deposit a little bit of carnauba on top of my collinite to extend my protection maybe a day or two.

Am I correct with this theory?

In theory it might add a bit of gloss, but I sure wouldn't count on any significant level of added protection.

The worst side effect you'll have is additional wash induced marring if the cheaper car wash doesn't have the same level of lubricity as what you're now using.

I keep some cheaper car wash around but about the only time they're used is in a foam gun for a high strength pre-soak where I plan to reapply wax/sealant afterwards.

You can always put it to use as a wheel cleaner.
