paint protection film (clear bra) repair

anyone ever try this method for repairing PPF? i've heard about it, but haven't been brave enough to try it.

i am waiting for my vehicle to have the venture shield film install completed...pretty excited to have it on there.

Never had the problem with my clear bra.. and it's almost 3 years old.

Yeah when I was getting my windows tinted by a guy around here who uses venture shield I asked him to clear bra my phone screen and he said no prob. Then he proceeded to dig his finger nail into the film, and I was thinking "*** are you doing?!?!" There was a visible dent in the film, then he rubbed it fast enough to create the friction/heat and it disappeared. I was like
