Yes, that is correct for waffle weave or plush style microfibers.

Taping off when polishing isn't just for show. You tape off edges, trim, moldings and decals to protect them when machine polishing.

We will run it by Max. In the meantime, the standard size wax applicators are soft and flexible enough to bend, flex and conform to use with the smaller jars.

I just ordered some Finish Kare No. 1 New Car Glaze, 1000P and 425. Can I apply the New Car Glaze on top of the Werkstatt AJT on the E350, and apply the 1000P over it? How long do I have to let the New Car Glaze cure before I apply the 1000P?
Also, on the 4runner, can I go staright to 1000P over Klasse AIO or should I apply a few coats of KSG before applying the 1000P?
Thanks in advance.

Glazes do not require a cure time. Many are used for finish polishing, adding extra gloss and some even hide any remaining imperfections so the paint looks perfect before you apply a wax.
You'll have to experiment to see if it works putting it over a previously applied product. Sometimes this works fine and sometimes there are streaks so trial and error will reveal if you can mix and match different products/brands on the same paint finish.
1000P can be applied over AIO and/or KSG. Either way will work. If you want maximum durability, do a few coats of KSG first with 12-24 hours between coats and then apply the 1000P.

Thanks. I'll try the FK New Car Glaze/1000P on top of Werkstat and see how it goes. If I have any energy left this weekend, I'll apply some KSG on the other car before applying 1000P.

Re: Ask the Autogeek! Question & Answer Thread
Hi I have recently purchased Poorboys SSR 2.5, but I am having trouble with it. I prep the car well its just that the formula seems to cause bad hazing. Here are my steps maybe you can point out my issue.
1. I spray a pad conditioner on a white Lake country pad.
2. Apply a thin ring around the outside of pad.(I have tried putting more and less ssr with the same effect except with more I have more fling).
3.I spread the formula over a section.
4.I spread at speed 3.5 over section
5.I buff into paint at speed 5-6 until fully broken down.
6.I wipe off product with MF towel.
7.I observe the paint and I see it looks worse.
So do you guys see any problem? I mean I am asking the people that are very familiar with SSR's cuz many people say that the formula is different cuz its ability to work in the sun.
Thanks for your help,
Chris

Re: Ask the Autogeek! Question & Answer Thread
Is Wolgang DGPS 3.0 one of them products where you apply very thin and it dries a hard to see residue? I notice applying a little too much, its hard to take off. But when I go very thin, its as though its invisible. Could you give me a good idea of amount to use for a fender?

Hi Chris,
What kind of car are you working on? It sounds as if you may have softer paint and would benefit from following up the SSR 2.5 with SSR 1 and a polishing pad to restore the clarity after you remove paint imperfections with the 2.5.

When you are applying it very thin and can barely see it, perfect! A little really does go a long way with the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0. Just about any products out there will give you a hard time if too much is applied. I have found to be Wolfgang to be pretty forgiving. You will be rewarded with extreme ease of use when you apply the sealant very thin and wait 30-60 minutes before wiping it off with a microfiber towel.

Soft paint on the Honda too. Definitely follow with the SSR 1 and a polishing pad or try the SSR 2.5 with a softer pad. Hope this helps.
