uppholstry? and hard leather.

Okay. so I purchased some Blue Magic from Walmart (saw 1 good review and afterwords it just made it oily, but clean) it's still hard.. it's also split. anyone know a good way to fix it? and a cost figure?

I think i'll get some leatherique in the future.

Re: uppholstry? and hard leather.

The split will have to be resewn, if it can be. It shouldn't cost that much. As for the stiff leather, a lot of times that is due to the coating. Since the leather is split, you could rub some flax seed oil on the underside and see if that softens it up.

A seam pulled apart on the inside of a seat can be very difficult to pull together and re-stitch. It'll probably have to have atleast one if not both middle pieces replaced. Sometimes stitching is possible with a re-inforcing piece in the middle, giving the stitches something stronger to grab into, but usually it's not very pretty cosmetically.
