Re: ''glass protection'' LSP??

He might be talking about Glare Polish that contains glassplexin:

Glare Autopolish

("Glassplexin, the active ingredient in our formulation, is a negatively charged silicate ionic compound which allows GLARE to bond to paint molecularly via a covalent chemical bond and transforms it into a 50/50 Glass/Paint Composition capable of filtering over 98% of the Sun's UVA and UVB rays..........")

If you search there have been a lot of threads about Glare.

That means it's a silicone polymer. It's marketing bs.

Re: ''glass protection'' LSP??

There are several glass sealants available, such as Rain-X, Carlack, etc.

Re: ''glass protection'' LSP??

"Glass" is getting popular in Asia too. I've had a number of customers ask me about it. It's a regular old paint sealant, no special care required.

Re: ''glass protection'' LSP??

I don't think the OP is referring to protection for the cars glass. He is referring to sealants which claim to have glass in them. These are all the rage in Korea, Taiwan, etc... I've had like 20 pm's at e90post about them from Asian members; places charge upwards of $1000 for them. They're straight up paint sealants of course.

Maybe i wasn't clear (sorry for that) but yes i am talking about a paint sealant that it supposed to be hard as glass...i guess it is another marketing trick, like Teflon.
