Water Spots and Heavy Waxes

Just an observation I would like to confirm.

Do heavy waxes like Collinite tend to water spot easily compared to a sealant like Klasse SG? Since I have been using IW 845 I have seen more water stains and junk adheared to my paint then ever. I have done nothing different, park in the same places, wash the same amount. It just seems that I have more contaminates on my paint since using Collimite.

Any Thoughts

Thanks,

Steve

PS- Did my Dad's Callaway with RMG+Soverean Reall bad photo, I was in a rush to be in a wedding. :2thumbs:

Products that produce heavy beading, such as Collinite, can tend to leave water spots. I used to get the same thing with Zaino as well as others. The upside is that the protection is so good that the contaminants do not typically bond to the paint and are easily washed off. I've had water spotting removed and cleaned (so to speak) from driving in heavy rain. Sometimes, this will leave the car looking almost washed. If the protection is there, it's not a big problem, at least for me.

I noticed the large beading and it rained the other day and the water spots were obvious and huge. I hit the car with some Megs #34 QD and all is well again though.

I prepped the hood with clayed AIO+IW845, they suface was perfect. yesterday, about 2 weeks, I washed and the water spots are not really visible when dry, but when I was washing and drying I could tell something was there. I have not noticed this with other products, but since I have been using IW845, I seem to get spotting, but it seems to be in the lsp, not the paint.

I got permanent spotting with 870 collinite that had to be polished out. I think carnubas are more sensitive to water spotting than sealants? Correct me if I am wrong.

That is what I am wondering?
