formal title for a mobile detailer?
Hey guys,
I am writing a paper on car detailing and was wondering what is a better formal or more professional title for a car detailer?

Re: formal title for a mobile detailer?
If you are specifically referring to someone who cleans exterior and interior, it would be an automotive detailer. If its strictly paint polishing, maybe Paint Correction Specialist.

To me, this would refer to someone who may specialize in a particular service beyond paint polishing and cleaning. PDR, windshield repair, carpet dyeing, leather repair, wheel refinishing, etc.
Just a thought

I think that may indicate that you are more specialized than you actually are. It may not give an accurate impression.
If you don't like, Automotive Reconditioning Specialist sub in technician. How about this: Automotive Reconditioning Technician.

Its up to the OP, a more "professional" name is relative to the work being described.
When someone says auto reconditioning, I think PDR, repairs, etc. not the "typical autopian"** concentration of paint polishing. Interior/Exterior Cleaning and polishing is what I consider detailing, reconditioning I generally consider to be something different (whatever that may be).
Automotive Detailing Technician/Specialist/Addict/etc.
**loosely used for my subjective idea of typical
