On the Perls, just don't expect to see lots of suds. You won't. I have hard water too, but even then, Perls just doesn't suds like other car wash shampoos. Don't be fooled by the lack of suds though. Perls will provide as much, or more, lubrication than any other car wash out there.
And most importantly, no car wash provides a better looking finish than Perls IMO.

My guess would be that ONR has pretty much taken over as people car wash of choice. I love ONR, but still have room for Perls in my arsenal for full hose/rinse washes.

You werent kidding when you said no suds. I used 2.5 capfuls for 1.5 gallons of water and I could tell right away it felt slicker than the Z7. One thing I didnt like was the smell but I can deal with that. So far, so good.

Also glad to hear that you agree with my description: no suds, yet very very slick.
Regarding the smell: not particularly great, but it isn't bothersome to me either.
What do you think of how it leaves the paint looking? What color paint is your wifes MDX? Does the MDX have a sealant or carnauba on it?

I guess they changed the container? The Perlz I have are squeeze type, where the top of the container fills up an ounce at a time. Like the P21s windshield boosts are.
