Re: best drying towel?

Danase Waffle Weave. No tags, unlike the Cobras.

Re: best drying towel?

I love my Arnold's Water Sprite. Don't hear too much about them on these boards, though.

Re: best drying towel?

This kind of off topic, but not really. How many of you use a water blade before using you towels? Do most of you think the WB is junk?

The water blade has the potential to be very dangerous. All it takes is one grain of sand to wreak havoc being dragged across your paint.

Here's what I use:

Re: best drying towel?

I do realize that. But before I use my blade, I always rinse it with running water on both sides to make sure any and all dirt particles are removed.

Re: best drying towel?

I use the Absorbor and rinse it out in the sink to get out any residue of dirt etc...

I'll say that I'm probably as meticulous about washing as anybody could be, and I work in a clean indoor environment. So I thought I could use the WB without problems and I did, for a *long* time. Then somehow something got between it and the paint and I got a scratch that I never would have instilled without it. Haven't used it on anything I care about since.

For one thing, the WB pretty much lends itself to long, sweeping motions (which I'd never do with anything else). Thus if you *do* get a scratch, it won't be some little 1" long thing And by the time you clean off the WB between passes, you've already caused the scratch.

Yeah...the WB is perfectly safe... right up until something happens, a gamble that everybody has to consider for themself.

Re: best drying towel?

Either Sonus or Meguiar's Waffle Weaves work well.
