Re: Chemical Guys Waterless Wash

Yeah, I have a couple gallons of it. Got it before they raised the price, which is now way too much. It works OK. There's really not much benefit to ONE over, say, ONR. To help avoid potential marring, you really need to spray it on thick. So thick that one use becomes very expensive.

It does leave a layer of carnauba behind, and as long as you apply a thick enough layer, it doesn't seem to mar the paint on either of my cars.

It would be a great product if they'd chop the price by about half. You can get a gallon of ONR for ten bucks less than a gallon of ONE, and a gallon of ONR will do *many* more cars than a gallon of ONE. Like about ten times as many.

There was a thread on this stuff last year... someone was asking whether or not it would remove your LSP. The official response from CG was that it wouldn't. I'd take that with a grain of salt.

Re: Chemical Guys Waterless Wash

I am not a big fan of waterless wash simply because I believe washing with water is a better option for those who are accesable. However I do understand that some people do not have hoses or a place to wash with water. From the looks of the demo though, it looks like a decent product with a cool concept.

Re: Chemical Guys Waterless Wash

ONE seemed to be the hype last spring/summer but the talk sure died down quickly, especially after the price increase. This isn't the first time, and it won't be the last time we see hyped up products from them that don't live up to expectations. I won't ever be wasting another dollar on any CG product.

For those that's not aware, that is Paul doing the demonstration in the video. It's another classic example of Chemical Guy's lack of professionalism. Most of us don't have a problem with profanity, but if you're doing a product demo video that will be placed on the internet for everyone to see, you can at least find a better word for bird $hit.

Re: Chemical Guys Waterless Wash

The only thing I hated about it, was it drying to fast. Even in cold weather.

The following is a quote from Waterless Wash And Wax With Kaolin Clay

"LOVE THE STUFF MORE THEN HOT NAKED TWINS AT THE SAME TIME? GET A GALLON (JUST CLICK HERE OR ON BOTTLE) ON SALE"

Mods, please feel free to edit that as you feel appropriate.

SVR has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Re: Chemical Guys Waterless Wash

Trouble with some waterless washes and perhaps that includes CG's one is they contain kaolin clay
This is a filler, they want to hide the marring they are putting in with the product

Drying too fast is a sign that kerosene or other solvent may be in it
Waterless wash should only be used on dusty cars, thats it

The Australian made one that I use on occasion is totally plant based and drinkable
It has some incredible lubrication, the paint feels like it's been clayed when your using the product

I laughed when I heard this also. Again I don't care but was surprised a more professional term wasn't used instead.
