Opti Seal Over A Carnuba

Im sure this was probably addressed before but can someone refresh my memory. Can I use Opti Seal on top of a carnuba? Does it make a difference if it is a carnuba spray wax as opposed to a regular wipe on buff off wax?

Re: Opti Seal Over A Carnuba

I'd wash first. OS over a fresh coat of 'nuba always streaks like heck for me unless I wash the car once prior to Opti-Sealing.

Re: Opti Seal Over A Carnuba

The OS will move the nuba to the top. Not remove, but just reposition it.

Re: Opti Seal Over A Carnuba

I put OS over two well cured coats of Souveran, amped up the wetness without losing depth. Now it is pouring rain and the beads look like typical OS beads.

Oh yeah, the floating carnauba story. I wonder what the technical term is for that?

"How many times do I have to pump the sprayer to = 1oz. of product?
Close to 200 pumps It should only take 20 pumps to coat a two door sedan."

Two door sedan? Last I checked, that was called a coupe.

Of the nuba or the OS? To my understanding they will compliment each other as long as not applied too soon of each other. Durability should be improved over either product alone, however I only use nuba for a look and not protection so I don't look for more than a month out of it (alone or combined).

Does that mean that it "floats" or that it bonds to the OS as it cures?

Migrates?

Whether it does that or not, I have no idea. My car is beading more like OS than Souveran (smaller beads with OS) so it seems to me that OS is like a shell over the carnauba. It looks good and that was what I was after.
