Red face Is it bad...

Is it bad that I want another car just so that I can do a major "transformation"? I will need to polish my BMW and my mom's SAAB in the spring, but is it bad that I want to buy another car (like a BMW, benz, or saab) that is in bad cosmetic shape just so I can "prove my skills"?

Mind you that I do not have the $$ to buy this said car, but I think it would be fun to buy a car, touch up, buff, fix some minor DIY things, and sell for a profit.

Please call me crazy....

Re: Is it bad...

It seems that people just don't have the "time it takes to do a nice job". I am also getting down about the fact that it is freezing cold and I haven't done a proper detail in 3.5 months. I need a winter project.

Re: Is it bad...

BTW: my garage is not heated, thus I would freeze to death trying to work. Oh well, I'm only 17 so I will eventually have a heated garage....

Re: Is it bad...

You can make money doing that but it's risky - your best bet is to buy a real rat for almost nothing and clean it up to sell for 1000 or so.

Did that a long time ago. Work out good. Made double what the car was
