Re: What have you all found to be the longest lasting liquid carnuba?
Thanks for the pictures, the Z and Bonnevile look great.
I think I'll go with a couple layers of 845 followed by a couple layers of Poorboys EX, that way the 845 will adhere the best. I have found that EX realy gives off nice depth and wetness. Do you all think this would be the best procedure?

I have a friend that uses liquid Meguiar's #26 Yellow Wax (a sleeper) and his car looks awesome. If you want to go Syn. NXT v2.0 is good. These can be bought OTC. 845 has definitly proved itself to be durable.

Re: What have you all found to be the longest lasting liquid carnuba?
Unless things have changed, it\'s not adviseable to apply a sealant (Poorboy\'s EX) over a carnauba \'cause it won\'t bond to the paint. EX first, the 845IW would look great & last through the winter

Yes it does! It just did KAIO topped with 845 on mom's red HHR. I then topped with Zaino Z8, and it looked stunning. It was very wet and glossy!

I have the report. No updates since. Test was done on a sectioned off test hood in the back yard, I believe. Not in a lab. Had people not involved in the application look at the sections and grade the looks/beading.
As far as I know, only one test was done, so there may have been "odd circumstances" that may not have reoccurred every time if the tests were repeated.

As I recall it, they were junkyard trunk lids, not even all exactly the same color, although I think they were from the same car type. IMO, that's completely ridiculous for an "instrumented" test, when all the test panels are different ages, have different environmental exposure history, and different care...and they're not even the same color, yet you go ahead and do subjective gloss and appearance judging...but every time I bring that up I get flamed.
The right way to do it would have been to use identical test panels all painted at the same time with the same paint and then prepped the same way...call me crazy. However, I do understand if there were time or budget limitations.

Would you happen to have any completed pictures of it that you could post up? My car is the same color red that is used on it.

Meg's liquid #26 works well for me.
Durability is a touch over 3mos. with weekly washings.

Re: What have you all found to be the longest lasting liquid carnuba?
Ive used 845 on my girlfriend's car about 3 months ago and it is still holding up. I have S100 on top JW acrylic jett. I just did that about a month ago and it is still holding up. I have also tried Mothers liquid Carnauba and the durability sucked. It lasted 2-3 weeks at the most.

Re: What have you all found to be the longest lasting liquid carnuba?
I agree the Mothers Liquid 'nuba is terrible in durability...looks 99.99% like #26 as well...just with a cherry smell.

Re: What have you all found to be the longest lasting liquid carnuba?
I find durability similar to S100 and looks more like #16 than #26. It seems to offer a brighter look rather than a darkening effect for me.
